History: Laura Barns was tragically driven to suicide when someone uploaded a video of a particularly humiliating incident from her at a party. A few people, uploader included, were just hanging out over a Skype call when they're joined by an enigmatic user named billie127. Then some rather nasty secrets get leaked. Then the other users start killing themselves in creepy ways. Turns out, billie127 is Laura's tormented spirit, who's back for revenge. And there's nothing the others can do about it.
Notable Kills: Makes the others kill themselves with bleach, blenders, curling irons down the throat, and knives to the eye. Sheesh!
Final Fate: By the end of it all, only one remains, that being Laura's friend in life. But Laura reveals that she knows her friend was the one behind the camera, and has the masses verbally tear her down before coming after her in spirit form. Based on those teeth...
Powers/Abilities: Can manipulate the web in any way, as well as possess people into killing themselves.
Weakness: None.
Scariness Factor: 4-It's safe to say that a lot of Laura's victims had it coming, but damn, they went out horribly! Their bodies became a vengeful ghost's plaything, and the ways they died can make one wince. Also, she's got a nice jump scare at the end. Lesson learned, don't be an ass on the web!
Trivia: -This film received a non-related sequel called "Unfriended: Dark Web" in 2018. It placed more focus on the titular part of the internet that's pretty much the forbidden zone of the place. You dare somehow get in there, and be prepared for things no one wants you to see.
-Apparently, the script was changed randomly so that the cast would have more genuine reactions to what was going on. Not a bad strategy, but quite the risky one too.
